My wife and I have lived in BCC (off hole twelve) since 2016 and in the Vistancia community since 2009. I am a retired cardiac anesthesiologist, now working part-time as Executive Director of the MedStar Health Institute for Quality and Safety. Spent the majority of my life in Chicago, am a huge Cubs fan, love teaching, and served as the Educational Dean at my alma mater, the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Many of you probably have seen me walking in and around our community each morning. In 2020, I walked across the country (2,460 miles over 355 straight days) raising awareness about healthcare safety. A big baseball fan, I walked to 37 different major league and spring training ballparks that year even though the stadiums were closed to fans due to the pandemic.
I believe the board should have a balanced representation comprised of directors who live on both the west and east sides of our beautiful community.
All of us have seen rapid growth in the surrounding areas over the last 5-10 years. Working together, we need to ensure our Blackstone community remains the premier place to live in the West Valley.
